erebusbeck: Due South (Fraser)

I found Due South on Youtube (in HD YAY). I used to have the DVD's but I got rid of them years ago assuming it would be on streaming with everything else. But, nope. I was looking for something else on youtube and found Due South so I am watching them again.

Due South is like the opposite of Forever Knight. It is wholesome and sweet. However, the character of Fraser is not that simple. He has hidden inner pain. A weird childhood. And the relationship with his cop partner is sometimes interesting and even more so when the partner changes in a later season. It's not a show that inspires me to write fanfiction but I do enjoy it.

Paul Gross is such a good actor. He played the opposite of Fraser in Slings and Arrows and I wish I could see him in more.

But, I feel like I'm cheating on my first love by watching it. LOL Especially since I am in the middle of several stories. Maybe some goodness and light will make me run back to the darkness (which I prefer) once I tire of the wholesome Due South.

Ha, same here. When I wrote that entry about Paul Gross playing King Lear, I realised that I had never watched Due South. So I searched on You Tube and watched the pilot episode on the weekend. Loved it! It made me smile when I recognised FK's Toronto with the streetcar tracks and all in the shots that were supposed to be in Chicago. LOL

Also nice to see a young Joseph Ziegler who played Schanke's friend in The Code.

The Border!

I really enjoyed that show when it was on even though it's not really my type of show either. I remember downloading the episodes from a Canadian TV community on LJ.

I even wrote a little Maggie fic because I love Catherine Disher.

In my drafts folder is a long dormant FK/The Border crossover fic that I sometimes take out and try to write in. It never goes far. :-(
