erebusbeckYesterday was the Monday after the holiday and I didn't have time to do anything but work.
Saturday and Sunday (and this morning when I woke up at 1 am) I got some writing done on Final Chapter but it's still coming slowly. I think I'm up to 16 pages but it's not close to the end and I really must go back and expand some chapters, decide how explicit the sex scene will be and actually write it, and then cut back on some chapters. I usually do that once I finish so I don't get off track with the main story. Although, I think I have already. Sigh.
I seem to want to write very short things recently. Moments in time that keep popping into my head, the most recent was a Methos (Highlander) very short thing, which I wrote but still need to edit. So maybe I should be using that as my warm-up before going diving into the longer things each time I sit down to write.
Now I have to move from the dining room where my personal computer is to one of my bedrooms where the work "office" is. It's a hell of a 5 second commute, littered with cat toys and two cats who ride on my chair as I push it into the office.
